The CHILDREN _{^{OF THE}} MOUNTAIN is a registered charity in Kathmandu , Nepal. All members of the Nepal and International teams are volunteers. No salaries are paid.

THE NEPAL TEAM

The Executive Committee

Chairman & In country Director: Rajendra Devkota, born and raised in remote Ghorka district, is an experianced educationalist and dynamic social worker. He is the Principal of a private school in Katmandu.  In addition to his duties as Chairman, Rajendra focuses on Teacher training support. 

Vice Chairman:Thakur Khamal born and raised in Tandrang is an experienced mountain guide and a true child of the mountain. He is Director of our close partner, the Adventure Trekking company in Kathmandu. Thakur focuses on in country operational logistics, and the sponsored Trekking expeditions.

Treasurer : Gandhari Bhattari is an experianced college lecturer and holder of a masters degree. Gandari maintains the income and expenditure records of the organisation and local financial reporting requirements. 

Secretary:  Sita Devkota, born and raised in Ghorka,  is an experianced English teacher. Sita has responsibility for all in country correspondance & statuary record keeping.

Ram Prasad Dawadi advises on all legal matters.

The Tandrang team 

Yog Bahadur Lamichhane chairs the recently formed Tandrang Headmasters Commitee is responsible for on-going needs accessment and liaises with the local community.

The International Non Executive Management Team

This team focuses upon raising awareness of the need and liasing with International Volunteers, Partners & Sponsors.

International Director: John Matthews, originally from Dublin, Ireland, is a Director of Finance and Founder of CHILDREN ^{_{OF THE}} MOUNTAIN.
